Amanzimtoti Beach borders the warm Indian Ocean which makes the water ideal for all year round swimming, snorkeling, diving, surfing and family beach fun. This sandy beach in Amanzimtoti has permanent life guards on duty (all year round) and there is adequate parking and plenty of restaurants and bars to visit after a day of sand and sun.

There are numerous golf courses in the area that should satisfy the needs of golfers of all levels. Listed in order of distance are the following: Amanzimtoti Country Club, Umkomaas Golf Club, Bluff Golf Club, Scottburgh Golf Club, Selborne Golf Club, Umdoni Golf Club.

Situated on the sapphire coastline of Amanzimtoti, Galleria Mall is a regional shopping centre deluxe. With combination of retail giants as well as exclusive boutiques, plus entertainment, fashion, dining and more, Galleria Mall offers the retail therapy that everybody deserves. ​

Safari

Tala is a wildlife sanctuary spanning over 3000 hectares and incorporating many diverse natural environments, the reserve features over 380 bird species, with big game that includes kudu, hippo, giraffe and eland. The reserve is only an hours drive from Tradewinds lodge and makes for a great day trip to get a taste of South African Safari. 

Scuba Diving

Aliwal Shoal is only a 20 minute drive from Tradewinds Lodge and offers some of the most exciting diving in the world. Dive with Ragged Tooth Sharks, Tiger Sharks and Manta Rays, Dolphins and Whale Sharks. There are multiple dive companies operating on Aliwal Shoal that will be sure to make your stay a memorable one. 

Fishing Charters

Our coastline offers some of the best fishing in the world. There are many fishing charter companies that will cater to your needs within a 30 minute drive from Tradewinds Lodge. Potential target fish include Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Yellowtail Amberjack, Black Marlin or Sailfish to name a few.
